In my last post, I talked about the thinking that needs to take place in order for you to start creating your ideal life. And today, I want to talk briefly about what I feel is the most important FIRST thing you must do after you walk through the intention setting thought process discussed in the last post.
You gotta get yourself healthy. Period.
You can desire financial and time freedom, but if your health is such that you can’t enjoy it and/or you spend your wealth and time attempting to “fix” your health, then that is not true freedom. Wouldn’t you agree? Whether that means you go to an optometrist or you go to a hearing center, you need to stay on top of your health. That means that you need to think about preventative healthcare first and foremost. With the right support you’ll be able to keep on top of your health and stay feeling good.
I lived many years in a very unhealthy manner – I abused my body with too much exercise, I severely limited calories, and I let stress take its toll on me. My body rebelled by suppressing my immune system, breaking down muscle and bone and keeping me sick and injured much of the time. Even though I was an advocate for health, I really wasn’t healthy.
Even when I did change things, as I got older, I took feeling less-than-vibrant as a normal part of the aging process.
I think this happens quite a bit. We begin to think that feeling less than optimal is just part of getting older, and it becomes our new normal.
It’s not normal!
There is absolutely NO reason why you can’t feel as good as you did 10, 15, even 20 years ago (or maybe even better).
It’s true that some will have a larger gap to fill between where they are now and where they want to be on the health scale. As the saying goes, you don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.
We spend a lot of time discussing this part of the process in my Create Your Life newsletter. I talk about what has worked for me, and how you can decide if it will work for you too. That is your first step – head over here and be part of the newsletter. 🙂
In health,
Tara
